Christmas Store

Taryn, Mom and I took the boys to Decorator's Warehouse on Friday to take pictures (and buy a few ornaments). I still have a lot to learn as a photographer, but got a few cute pics. I can't wait for Max's first Christmas. I'm sure he'll like the paper and boxes just as much as the presents, but it should be fun!

Max's first Halloween

Okay, so I'm not very good about posting. BUT, I though Halloween pics are a good excuse to post something. This was Max's first Halloween and while he thought the neighbor block party was a ton of fun, the costume quickly got hot and the cranky appeared! So, we quickly tracked down cousing Austin for a few quick pics of our Dino's and back home to answer the door in our diaper.... finally some relief.

Butt in the air

Some big things are brewing over in our part of the world, but haven't quite happened yet... keep posted. I hope to be sharing some big news in the next few weeks.

In the meantime, I thought I needed to share a quick pic of Max from last week at Grandpa Bill's house. Bill and Beth watch Max for a few hours every Thursday and send me the cutest pictures and videos. He is a blessed little boy to be loved by ALL of his family so much.

This is a picture of him sleeping at their house. How can babies sleep with their butt in the air like that? Amazing. I would be in knots for weeks.

He is also about to crawl. I'm hoping he'll figure it out AFTER we get the gates up. I think I hear a weekend project calling....

My new camera! So excited!

Adam got me a Nikon D90 camera for my birthday and I LOVE it! I can get such great pictures of Max and hope to get even better. Thanks HONEY! Here are a few of the pictures I took recently at the annual Lackey family reunion and at our house.

It has been a while!

Several of you have told me that you are actually still checking out the blog, so I thought I would update it. I wasn't sure if I would keep it going, but why not.... ;)

Max is almost 6 months old... where did the time go? And, what a sweetheart he is! He has learned to roll from back to front. He hasn't quite figured out how to get back, however, much to his frustration. He loves to "talk" in his funny little happy voice and play with Dad. Adam rolls him across our bedroom floor and he just LAUGHS!

I've taken him swimming a few times and he seems to be enjoying that. Mostly, he hangs out with Mom, Dad and Nonna. My mom, Nonna to Max, is watching him 3 days a week while we are at work and it is WONDERFUL! I am working 4 days a week, trying to get it to 3.

His cousin, Austin, also loves playing with "Muh" as he calls him. See the picture of the two of them. Too cute.

2 months old

HI - just checking in in case anyone is still reading. :) Max is doing well. He had his 2 month checkup on Monday. He is 10 lbs. 11 oz now and 23 inches long. For all the problems he had initially with eating, you'd never know now - he is eating great and getting a little chin on him - so cute.

He has been a little colicky, but we have been taking him to a chiropractor and it seems to be gradually helping. We hope he outgrows it soon!

Sleepless nights

Just a quick update to say we are all doing pretty well. Max is still not sleeping much at night, but that is to be expected. He is getting bigger and adding a little baby fat... check out the fuller cheeks. So cute!

The hardest part has been that I've gotten Mastitis, which is awful!!! I'm on my 2nd round of antibiotics, so hopefully, I'll be over it soon.
