Max's IV comes out - going to Special Care

Max is doing well today. He just got his IV line removed this afternoon and will have his actual IV removed from his head later tonight. YEAH! This is a big step. It means we are feeding him with formula/milk only now and is one step closer to going home.

We will likely be able to go to Special Care tomorrow. That is where I can stay with him 24 hours/day and transition him to coming home! He is doing really well and is just adorable. All of his nurses and dr.s just love him! (and his fuzzy little head)

Adam, on the other hand, is not doing great. He ran a fever all night last night and today. He is going to the Dr. to find out what is wrong. Hopefully we can get him better soon - he hasn't seen Max in 3 days and is missing his little guy.

I'm doing pretty well. I've managed to stay healthy - I think the flu shot may be responsible for me not getting Adam's illness - I think he has the flu. In any case, I feel good, but I am not risking it. I packed a bag this morning and am staying at Mom & Dad's tonight and will get to go back to the hospital tomorrow to stay in a room with Max.

Thanks for all of your prayers. Keep 'em coming! We still have a long few days ahead of us.

Love you all!

Paige
